Browser-based punch + geo-fenced attendance sites + biometric device integration
Why teams pick Attendance
- Browser-based punch + geo-fenced attendance sites + biometric device integration
- Weekly-off rules with alternate-week support; rotational shift patterns with per-employee offset
- Regularisation requests flow through the same approval engine as leave / expense
What makes PeopleVizio's Attendance different.
Multiple capture modes
Web punch from the ESS dashboard, geo-fenced site check-in (lat/long radius per site), or pull-from-biometric-device. Each mode writes to the same AttendanceDay record, so the per-day status (PRESENT / WFH / LEAVE / WEEKEND / HOLIDAY) is consistent regardless of how the punch arrived.
Weekly-off + rotational shifts
Weekly-off rules per scope (tenant default / department / location / role) with optional alternate-week mask — supports "alternate Saturdays off" without custom code. Rotational shift patterns are JSON sequences (e.g. MORNING, MORNING, AFTERNOON, AFTERNOON, NIGHT, OFF) repeated with per-employee offset so teams can be staggered on the same pattern.
Shift-aware computation
Hours, lateness, and overtime computed against the employee's effective shift on each date — pulled live from the rotational pattern + assignment for that date.
Concrete capabilities, tied to real code.
Every claim below maps to a specific service or class in the PeopleVizio platform.
Attendance sites with geofence
Configure office locations with lat/long + radius; punches outside the fence are flagged. Bulk-assign employees to sites.
Biometric device integration
Pull-mode integration from supported biometric devices. Each device is tied to one tenant and one site.
HR-side views + regularisation queue
Bulk attendance views, manual marking, and a regularisation queue that lives alongside leave + expense + comp-off in the manager approvals tab.
